Craig William Taylor’s career in data systems management and engineering is marked by a strong sense of professional excellence, personal achievement, and community service. In 1996, Craig William Taylor earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Davis. This was followed in 2002 by a Master of Business Administration from the university’s Graduate School of Management.
Over the course of a career spanning 15 years, Craig William Taylor has carried out a wide range of tasks. While working on his graduate degree, Craig William Taylor landed a job as a Systems Application Engineer with Roberts Technical Services in Pleasant Hill, California. Over the next two years, Craig William Taylor was responsible for the Plant Information (PI) server. Craig William Taylor also perfected Robert Technical Services’ client software at an oil refinery and maintained their help desk.
Craig William Taylor has worked at Genentech, Inc., his current employer, over two separate periods of time for a total of eight years. During his first job at the company’s office in Vacaville, California, Craig William Taylor played a major role in developing necessary infrastructure to provide plant information to company user groups. Using his technical expertise, Craig William Taylor implemented an Oracle database to collect and dispense batch data. To further facilitate information sharing among Genentech employees, Craig William Taylor developed a web site for distributing plant knowledge. Additionally, Craig William Taylor was placed in charge of the team responsible for rolling out Genentech’s employee recognition program for their production site.
Demonstrating an early commitment to community service and leadership, Craig William Taylor earned the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. Since that time, Craig William Taylor has worked to support many other charities and public service organizations, including the Arthritis Foundation, the Movember Foundation, Christmas Wish Program, Goodwill Industries International, Inc., Ronald McDonald House Charities, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
